Pharmacological action and properties

Oak bark – the vegetable means possessing a complex of active biological agents.

Possesses the knitting, immunostimulating, enveloping, antiacid, antiinflammatory and antimicrobic action. At the expense of tannins (not less than 8% in drug) protects fabrics from pathogenic organisms and local irritation. Besides bark contains pectins, флобафен, ellagic and gallic acids.

Route of administration

Broth of Bark of an oak is prepared at the rate of 20 g of bark on 200 ml of water on the water bath within 30 minutes. Filter hot through a double gauze, wring out the rest and bring broth to volume of 200 ml boiled water. Ready solution can be kept in the refrigerator within two days.

Broth is applied to rinsings of 6-8 times a day, previously having shaken up.

At treatment of burns apply 20% broth.
