Description:
Spasmophilia - the disease of children of early age which is characterized by tendency to tonic and kloniko-tonic spasms owing to a hypocalcemia.

Spasmophilia reasons:
Content of calcium in blood serum at rickets decreases in an initial phase, at an aggravation and as a result of therapy. Due to the falling of level of calcium excitability of a nervous system considerably increases, up to a convulsive syndrome. At an insufficient or excess medical dose of vitamin D or at the increased insolation in spring months more calcium comes to bones, than it is soaked up in intestines. Absorption of calcium is broken also at digestive disturbances and intestinal infections.
Treatment of the Spasmophilia:

At a latent form after determination of level of calcium slowly in/in solution of a gluconate or calcium chloride - 0,3-0,5 ml/kg enter 10%.
