Description:
Valves of an urethra (urethra) – inborn folds mucous, interfering free bladder emptying.
Defect is found in boys with a frequency of 1:50000 newborns, however because of complexity of diagnosis true prevalence is not known.
Symptoms of Valves of an urethra:
At the same time in a gleam of an urethra folds or membranes in the form of cups, funnels or a diaphragm are formed. This anomaly of development by disturbances of an urination, is shown by accumulation of a residual urine in a bladder. At much the expressed urine outflow disturbance gradually there is a hydronephrotic transformation of ureters and kidneys from the outcome in a chronic renal failure. At more advanced age there is pyelonephritis.
Reasons of Valves of an urethra:
The broken bladder emptying leads eventually to disturbance of emptying of ureters (to a megaureter, a gidroureteronefroz) or to throwing of urine from a bladder in ureters (a vesicoureteral reflux) that, in turn, serves as the reason of development of persistent infection of urinary tract, inflammations of renal fabric (pyelonephritis), a nephrosclerosis (substitution of normal renal fabric as hems) and to oppression of function of kidneys.
Treatment of Valves of an urethra:
Optimum method of treatment of valves of an urethra are endoscopic operations today. Such methods as "open" (surgical) excision of the valve, destruction of the valve "special" catheters, are an unsafe anachronism. Bougieurage of an urethra is senseless that it is clear from the name of pathology (the valve breaks outflow from a bladder when its shutters finish while Bougie and catheters entered into a bladder pass freely, pressing valve shutters to urethra walls).
