General characteristics. Structure:

Cream for external use of 1 g
Active agent: sertakonazola nitrate of 20 mg
excipients: ethylene glycol; polyethyleneglycol пальмитостеарат; poliglikolizirovanny saturated glycerides; glycerin isostearate; paraffin oil; marked p-hydroxybenzoate; sorbic acid; the purified water  

Description of a dosage form: White soft cream, inodorous or with a slight smell of fat.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological action - antifungal local. Synthesis of ergosterol, main styrene of membranes of mushrooms and yeast oppresses, increases permeability of a cellular membrane that leads to a lysis of a cell of a mushroom.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration in blood and urine it is not found.

Pharmacodynamics. Sertakonazol is derivative an imidazole and petrolthiophene with a broad spectrum of activity concerning a pathogenic fungi (Candida spp., including Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis; Pityrosporum orbiculare), dermatophytes (Trichophytom and Microsporum) and causative agents of infections of skin and mucous membranes (gram-positive strains stafilo-and streptococci). Possesses fungistatic and fungicidal action in therapeutic doses.

Indications to use:

Topical treatment of superficial mycoses of skin:
Dermatofitiya: dermatofitiya of feet (Tinea pedis), dermatofitiya of a trunk (Tinea corporis), dermatofitiya of a beard (Tinea barbae), inguinal dermatofitiya (Tinea crusis), etc. Skin candidiasis (including resistant and non albicans of a form). Pityrosporum orbiculare. Seborrheal dermatitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. Cream is applied on affected areas of skin with a uniform thin layer twice a day with capture about 1 cm of a surface of healthy skin. Duration of treatment depends on an etiology of the activator and localization of an infection. As a rule, symptoms of a disease disappear in 2–4 weeks. The recommended treatment duration — 4 weeks.

Precautionary measures

It is not used in ophthalmologic practice.

Side effects:

Contact dermatitis. Quickly taking place local erythematic reactions are possible that does not demand drug withdrawal.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to antifungal means (imidazole derivatives) or cream excipients.

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast

During pregnancy perhaps if the potential advantage for mother surpasses possible risk for a fruit (safety of drug at pregnant women specially was not studied).
In the period of a lactation cream should not be applied on mammary glands. There are no data on use of drug in the period of a lactation now therefore in need of use the issue of the termination of breastfeeding should be resolved with the doctor.

Overdose:

At external use the overdose is improbable. At accidental administration of drug inside it is necessary to carry out a symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity 3 years. At a temperature not above 25 °C.
