General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 20 g of a hawthorn of leaves.

Excipient: alcohol of ethyl 70%.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Means of a plant origin. The biological effect of a hawthorn is caused by existence of a complex of biologically active agents (flavonoids, sincaline, acetylcholine, tannins, phytosterols, triterpenovy connections, organic acids, etc.). Tinctura Crataegi strengthens blood circulation in coronal vessels of heart and in brain vessels. Increases sensitivity of a myocardium to effect of cardiac glycosides. Promotes strengthening of reductions of a cardiac muscle and at the same time reduces her excitability. Triterpenovy glycosides and flavonoids have a certain spasmolytic, hypotensive effect, positively influence the level of venous pressure, improve elasticity of a vascular wall of arterioles and capillaries.

Renders moderate antiarrhytmic, cardiotonic, hypotensive and spasmolytic action, improves coronary and cerebral circulation, reduces heart rate.

The effect occurs in 30 minutes-1 hours.

Indications to use:

Functional cardiac disturbances, angioneuroses. As a part of complex therapy: ciliary arrhythmia, Bouveret's disease.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, in 30 minutes prior to food. The mode of dosing is set individually depending on a state and age of the patient. A usual dose for adults - till 20-30 drops 3-4 times a day before achievement of stable effect. To children since 12 years from calculation one drop for a year of life.

Features of use:

Simultaneous use from antiaritmika of the III class, with tsiprazidy is not recommended.

Influence on ability to management of transport and potentially dangerous mechanisms. Drug contains alcohol! During treatment it is necessary to refrain from driving of motor transport and occupations other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, seldom small tortoiseshell, itch. At prolonged use – bradycardia, at use in high doses - a lowering of arterial pressure, drowsiness.

Interaction with other medicines:

At joint appointment to cardiac glycosides there is strengthening of cardiotonic effect; with beta adrenoblockers - hypotensive effect. Pharmaceutical we will combine with solutions of cardiac glycosides (improves their portability).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to all components of drug, children's age up to 12 years, pregnancy and the period of a lactation (during treatment stop breastfeeding).

Overdose:

Symptoms: lowering of arterial pressure, drowsiness.

Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the places not available to light and children. In the course of storage loss of a deposit is possible. To protect from fire.
