General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 20 mg of a trokserutin in 1 g of medicine.

Excipients: carbomer, propylene glycol, a macrogoal 400, glycerin, dinatrium эдетат, a benzalkoniya chloride, potassium dihydrophosphate, dinatrium phosphate 12-water, diethanol amide, the water purified.

The drug possessing venotoniziruyushchy, angioprotektorny, antiedematous, antioxidant and antiinflammatory action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Trokserutin is a flavonoid (Rutinum derivatives), has R-vitamin activity; renders venotoniziruyushchy, angioprotektorny, antiedematous, antioxidant and antiinflammatory action. Participates in oxidation-reduction processes, blocks hyaluronidase, stabilizes hyaluronic acid of cellular covers and reduces permeability and fragility of capillaries, raises their tone. Increases density of a vascular wall, reduces exudation of a liquid part of plasma and emigration of blood cells. Limits sticking of thrombocytes to a surface of a vascular wall, reducing its inflammation. Has good skin tolerance.

Indications to use:

For reduction of the hypostases and symptoms connected with chronic venous insufficiency – feelings of weight and an onychalgia, pain after performing sclerotherapy. For reduction of pain and hypostases of a traumatic origin at stretchings and bruises of muscles.

Route of administration and doses:

Gel is applied in the morning and in the evening on affected areas of skin by means of the easy massing movements before its penetration into skin. Success of treatment by Troksovazol depends on its regular use for a long time.

Features of use:

At patients with chronic venous insufficiency gel can be applied both in initial, and in late stages of a disease. As a result of treatment regress of such symptoms as hypostases of the lower extremities, feeling of weight in legs is noted; improvement of a trophicity of integuments is noted.

Gel is applied only on the unimpaired skin. It is necessary to avoid hit of gel on open wounds, eyes and mucous membranes.

Pregnancy and lactation. Use of medicine in the I trimester of pregnancy is not recommended. Data on use of drug in the period of a lactation are absent.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions – urticaria, eczema, dermatitis are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant interaction of drug with other medicines is unknown. At simultaneous use with drugs for external use new connections with unpredictable properties can be formed.

Contraindications:

- hypersensitivity to medicine components;

- 1 trimester of pregnancy.

Overdose:

Now about cases of overdose of a trokserutin at topical administration in the recommended doses it was not reported. In the presence of indications peritoneal dialysis is carried out.
