General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 g of gel contains - diclofenac of sodium of 10 mg

Pharmacological properties:

Gel Diclofenac - drug of group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVS). Drug is emitted from the NPVS group with good tolerance and lack of irritant action for digestive tract owing to topical administration even at prolonged treatment. Gel Diclofenac well gets through skin and quickly weakens or kills pain in a site of application including in joints at rest and at the movement, reduces morning constraint and puffiness of joints.

Indications to use:

Symptomatic therapy of acute and chronic rheumatic and not rheumatic damages of joints, inflammatory and traumatic diseases of a musculoskeletal system - osteoarthroses, a bursitis, a tendovaginitis, radiculitises, thrombophlebitises, neuralgia, mialgiya, inflammatory hypostases of soft tissues and other diseases which are followed by an inflammation and pain.

Route of administration and doses:

Gel Diclofenac is appointed to adults and children 6 years are more senior. 2-4 times a day on 2-4 g of gel apply with a thin layer on skin in the place of an inflammation (sore joints or other body parts with an inflammation and pain), easily rubbing in skin before full absorption. The average daily dose makes 10 g of gel that corresponds to 0,1 g of diclofenac of sodium. A course of treatment - up to 14 days. Indications for continuation of treatment are recommended to be revised in 2 weeks.

Features of use:

Drug should be applied only on the unimpaired sites of skin. It is necessary to avoid hit of drug in eyes and on mucous membranes. At accidental hit of drug in eyes it is necessary to wash out their large number waters.
Drug is appointed with care sick rhinitis, with polyps of a mucous membrane of a nose or that who has abnormal liver functions, kidneys, system of a hemopoiesis, and also at simultaneous use of other NPVS.

Side effects:

If gel is applied on big sites of skin or the recommended dose is exceeded, system side effects which are characteristic of diclofenac of sodium and other NPVS are possible: a headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, pain in epigastric area of a stomach, rash, burning; the bronchospasm and system anaphylactic reactions are very seldom noted. At manifestation of the specified symptoms it is necessary to stop use of drug and to appoint the corresponding treatment.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac of sodium and to components which are a part of gel Diclofenac. Also a contraindication to use of drug is existence at the patient of erosive cankers of digestive tract, bronchial asthma; hemopoiesis disturbances; period of pregnancy and lactation. Use of drug is contraindicated to children up to 6 years.
