Бисакодил-Акри®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 5 mg of bisacodyl.

Excipients: sugar, lactose, potato starch, talc, calcium stearate, methyl cellulose the water-soluble, ready mix "AKRIL-IZ" (copolymer of methacrylic acid with ethyl acrylate 1:1, titanium dioxide, talc, triethyl citrate, silicon dioxide colloid anhydrous, Natrii hydrocarbonas, sodium lauryl sulfate), quinolinic yellow, yellow "sunset".

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Purgative. Causes irritation of the receptor device of a gut, exerts direct impact on a mucous membrane of intestines, strengthening its peristaltics and increasing secretion of slime in a large intestine.

Action comes in 6 h at intake (at reception before going to bed — in 8-12 hours).

Pharmacokinetics. It is not soaked up in intestines. Is pro-medicine, in the alkaline environment there is a hydrolysis to formation of the metabolite rendering irritant action on a mucous membrane of a GIT.

Indications to use:

The lock caused by hypotonia of a large intestine (at advanced age, at bed patients, after operations, childbirth), regulation of a chair at hemorrhoids, a proctitis, proctal cracks; preoperative preparation and preparation for tool and X-ray inspections.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, before going to bed or in 30 min. prior to a breakfast, to adults and children 14 years — 5-15 mg are more senior; children are 2-7 years old — 5 mg; 8-14 years — 5-10 mg. Tablets are swallowed, without chewing and washing down with a small amount of water.

By preparation for surgeries, tool and X-ray inspections appoint 2 tablets to night one day before the research and on 2 tablets for the night on the eve of operation or a research.

Features of use:

It is necessary to avoid long administration of drug.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible; irritation of a rectum, intestinal colic, diarrhea which can lead to excessive loss of liquid and electrolytes and, therefore, to development of muscular weakness, spasms, arterial hypotension.

Interaction with other medicines:

Combined use with antacids, and also with milk and alkaline mineral water can lead to premature dissolution of its cover and irritation of a stomach and duodenum.

Contraindications:

Intestinal impassability, the restrained hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of abdominal organs, peritonitis, bleedings from digestive tract, uterine bleedings, a spastic lock, an acute proctitis, acute hemorrhoids, cystitis, children's age up to 2 years, hypersensitivity to drug.

With care apply at pregnant women and the feeding women, and also at patients with diseases of a liver and/or kidneys.

Overdose:

Symptoms: diarrhea, dehydration, disturbance of water and electrolytic balance, hypopotassemia, atony of a large intestine.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C, in the place, dry, unavailable to children. Not to apply after the period of validity specified on packaging. A period of storage - 3 years.
