Bisakodil-Hemofarm

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: bisacodyl of 5 mg

Excipients: lactoses monohydrate, starch corn, K-25 povidone, carboxymethylstarch of sodium, silicon dioxide colloid, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

Purgative. Causes irritation of the receptor device of a gut, exerts direct impact on a mucous membrane of intestines, strengthening its peristaltics and increasing secretion of slime in a large intestine.
Action comes in 6 h at intake, at reception before going to bed - in 8-12 h.

Pharmacokinetics. It is not soaked up in intestines. Is pro-medicine, in the alkaline environment there is a hydrolysis to formation of the metabolite rendering irritant action on a mucous membrane of a GIT.

Indications to use:

— a hypotonic and atonic lock (including locks at elderly; locks after operations and childbirth);
— regulation of a chair (hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures);
— preparation for surgeries, tool and X-ray inspections.

Route of administration and doses:

Pill is taken in 1 time/days before going to bed or in 30 min. prior to a breakfast.
To adults and children 14 years drug are more senior appoint 1-3 tablets (5-15 mg) to reception.
To children at the age of 8-14 years - on 1-2 tablets (5-10 mg), to children aged from the 3rd up to 7 years - 1 tablets (5 mg).
By preparation for surgeries, tool and X-ray inspections appoint 2 tablets to night one day before the research and on 2 tablets for the night on the eve of operation or a research.
Tablets are swallowed entirely, without breaking, without chewing, washing down with a small amount of water.

Features of use:

It is not necessary to appoint bisacodyl at treatment of a chronic lock for a long time (more than 10 days).
If at use of bisacodyl the proctorrhagia begins, it is necessary to warn the patient about the termination of administration of drug.
As a result of drug use perhaps violet coloring of urine and calla.

Side effects:

Are possible: intestinal colic, diarrhea (dehydration, disturbance of water and electrolytic exchange, muscular weakness, spasms, decrease in the ABP), abdominal pains, meteorism, allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Combined use with antacids can lead to premature dissolution of its cover and irritation of a stomach and duodenum.
It is not recommended to accept along with milk and alkaline mineral water.

Contraindications:

— intestinal impassability;
— the restrained hernia;
— acute inflammatory diseases of abdominal organs;
— abdominal pains of not clear genesis;
— gastroenteritis;
— appendicitis;
— peritonitis;
— bleedings from a GIT;
— metrorrhagia;
— cystitis;
— spastic locks;
— acute proctitis;
— acute hemorrhoids;
— children's age up to 3 years.

With care: pregnancy, lactation period, liver and/or renal failure.

Use for children
To children at the age of 8-14 years - on 1-2 tablets (5-10 mg), to children aged from the 3rd up to 7 years - 1 tablets (5 mg).
Drug is contraindicated to children up to 3 years.

Overdose:

Symptoms: diarrhea, dehydration, disturbance of water and electrolytic balance, hypopotassemia, atony of a large intestine.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
