Allocholum

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: tablets, coated, from flavovirent till orange color, with a biconvex surface. On a cross break the kernel surrounded with two layers of a cover is visible; structure: 1 tablet contains the bile condensed (in terms of anhydrous substance) or bile dry (in terms of anhydrous substance) – 80 mg, powder of garlic dried – 40 mg, nettle leaves – 5 mg, the coal activated – 25 mg; excipients: magnesium oxide, potato starch, aerosil, calcium stearate, sugar, povidone, magnesium carbonate the main, titanium dioxide, talc, tropeolin O or tartrazine, beeswax, liquid paraffin.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Allocholum improves secretory function of hepatic cells, causing moderate holeretichesky effect. Stimulates synthesis of bile acids; increases an osmotic gradient between bile and blood that leads to increase in filtering in bilious capillaries of water and electrolytes; accelerates bile current on bilious ways, prevents spread of the ascending infection and reduces intensity of inflammatory process; reduces a possibility of loss of cholesterol in a deposit with the subsequent formation of stones. Process of a holatoobrazovaniye happens generally at the expense of the taurocholic and deoxycholic acids entering dry bile. Increase in an exit of bile in a gleam of intestines promotes reflex increase in a secretory and physical activity of a digestive tract, improves emulsification of food fats and in general digestion processes. Compound garlic which are a part of drug promote oppression of processes of fermentation in intestines, reducing a meteorism.    

Pharmacokinetics. Drug is well soaked up in intestines, quickly joining in gepatoduodenalny circulation.

Indications to use:

Chronic cholecystitises, uncomplicated zhelchekamenny disease, dyskinesia of a gall bladder, postcholecystectomy syndrome, locks, intestines hypotonia, uncomplicated cholesterosis of a gall bladder.

Route of administration and doses:

The adult appoint 1–2 tablets 3–4 times a day after food for 3–4 weeks. At an exacerbation of a disease Allocholum is accepted on 1 tablet by 2–3 times a day after food for 1–2 months. If necessary the course of treatment is repeated by 2–3 times with a break in 3 months.
This dosage form is not shown for treatment of children.

Features of use:

The first signs of improvement of a state appear by 5–8 day after an initiation of treatment (reduction of pains in right hypochondrium, disappearance of the dispepsichesky phenomena).
Take drug at a zhelchekamenny disease with caution. Do not accept drug in case the size of stones according to ultrasonography is more than 10 mm.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, diarrhea.

Interaction with other medicines:

Combined use of Allocholum with choleretics, synthetic or a plant origin, strengthens a bile production; the drug combination with laxative drugs leads to elimination of locks; drug promotes improvement of absorption of fat-soluble vitamins; use of Allocholum with antiseptic agents or chemotherapeutic means at infectious processes in a liver or bilious ways improves a therapeutic effectiveness of the last.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, acute hepatitises, acute and subacute dystrophies of a liver, obturatsionny jaundice, an acute coloenteritis.

Overdose:

Acute poisoning with drug is not described.

Storage conditions:

To store in unavailable to children, the dry place at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity – 4 years.
