Methyluracil

General characteristics. Structure:

Methyluracil of 0,5 g, excipients.

Pharmacological properties:

Methyluracil has anabolic activity, accelerates processes of cellular regeneration and healing of the damaged fabrics, stimulates a leukopoiesis, has antiinflammatory effect.

Indications to use:

Erosive and ulcer colitis, proctosigmoiditis, anal fissures, etc.

Route of administration and doses:

Previously having exempted a candle from planimetric packaging, enter it deeply into an anus after a cleansing enema or spontaneous release of intestines: adults on 1 - 4 candles a day (about 2 candles 3-4 times a day are admissible), to children are 3-8 years old - on 1/2 candles, 8-15 years - on 1 candle pass. A course of treatment from 7 days to 4 months, depending on the nature of a disease.

Side effects:

At introduction of candles to a rectum short-term easy burning is sometimes felt.

Contraindications:

Acute and chronic forms of a leukosis (especially myeloid), a lymphogranulomatosis, malignant diseases of marrow, the increased individual sensitivity to drug.
