General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 5 g of L-ornithine of L-aspartate in 1 ampoule.

Excipients: water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Reduces the increased ammonia level in an organism, in particular at liver diseases. Effect of drug is connected with its participation in an ornitinovy cycle of a mochevinoobrazovaniye of Krebs (an ureapoiesis from ammonia). Promotes production of insulin and somatotropic hormone. Improves protein metabolism at the diseases demanding parenteral food.

Pharmacokinetics. It is removed by kidneys.

Indications to use:

The acute and chronic diseases of a liver accompanied with a giperammoniyemiya. Hepatic encephalopathy including as a part of complex therapy of disturbances of consciousness (a prekom and coma).

As corrective additive to drugs for parenteral food at patients with proteinaceous insufficiency.

Route of administration and doses:

Intravenously enter up to 4 ampoules a day, having dissolved contents of ampoules in 500 ml of infusion solution. At hepatic encephalopathy depending on severity of a state enter up to 8 ampoules a day. The infusion duration, frequency and duration of treatment are defined individually. The maximum speed of internal introduction — 5 g an hour. Not to dissolve more than 6 ampoules in 500 ml of infuzny solution!

Features of use:

At diagnosis hepatic encephalopathy because of a basic disease it is necessary to be careful during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

When developing nausea or vomiting it is necessary to lower rate of administering.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, are in some cases possible nausea and vomiting.

Interaction with other medicines:

 It is not described.

Contraindications:

The expressed renal failure at a creatinine indicator more than 3 mg / 100 ml. Hypersensitivity to drug components, the lactation period.

With care — pregnancy.

Overdose:

Symptoms: strengthening of expressiveness of side effects.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. In the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3 years. Not to apply after expiry date.

Concentrate for preparation of solution for infusions, 500 mg/ml, on 10 ml in ampoules of dark glass like I, DAB 10 with two color marking rings and a white point. On 10 ampoules (2 plastic pallets on 5 ampoules) with  the application instruction in a cardboard box.
