Calendulas tincture

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent - flowers of a marigold (calendula) of 5.0 g.

Excipients: alcohol of ethyl 70%.

Pharmacological properties:

The biological active agents which are contained in flowers and flower baskets of a calendula (flavonoidny and carotinoid glycosides, saponins, tannins, essential oil, organic acids) have antiinflammatory, antimicrobic and cholagogue properties. Have the systemic and local effect.

Indications to use:

- the infected (purulent) wounds, cuts, burns of integuments

- oral cavity diseases (ulitis, stomatitis, pyorrhea, inflammatory and dystrophic form of a paradontosis), quinsy, pharyngitis

- erosion of a neck of uterus, mecotic colpitises (as a part of complex therapy)

- dyskinesia of biliary tract, cholangites, cholecystitises (as a part of complex therapy).

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. 1 teaspoon on a glass of water for rinsing and irrigation 3-4 times, syringings 2-3 times a day. Course of treatment of 5-7 days.

As cholagogue at adults till 10-20 drops on reception 2-3 times a day in intervals between food. Course of treatment of 15-20 days.

At contaminated wounds process the sterile gauze tampon moistened in tincture.

Features of use:

With care at liver diseases, alcoholism, brain diseases.

Tincture is not recommended to be used inside for a long time as alcohol is a part of drug.

Does not influence ability to manage the vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Side effects:

- individual hypersensitivity to drug

- allergic reactions (erubescence, rashes, itch).

At intake: bitterness in a mouth, a burning sensation in epigastric area, strengthening of an abdominal pain.

Interaction with other medicines:

Strengthens action of other anti-inflammatory and cholagogue drugs (in particular, drugs on the basis of a camomile and a yarrow).

Contraindications:

- the increased individual sensitivity to any component of drug

- children's age up to 12 years

- pregnancy, lactation period

- acute gastritis, a peptic ulcer in the period of an aggravation

- calculous cholecystitis

- alcoholism.

Overdose:

It is not revealed.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature not above 18 °C.

To store in the place, unavailable to children!

On 50 ml of drug in the bottles corked by the screwed covers or caps metal with a control ring.

Bottles together with the approved instructions on a medical use in the state and Russian languages place in a box from a cardboard bandbox or corrugated.
