Thymalinum

General characteristics. Structure:

Deystuyushchy substance: 10 mg of polypeptides of a thymus gland.

Excipient: glycine.

Коплекс the polypeptide fractions allocated from a thymus gland (thymus) of calfs,   the regress of immunocompetent cells regulating products of cytokines, exponentiating functional activity of T lymphocytes, recovering activity of T-killers, slowing down regulating the natural immune response increasing anti-infectious resistance of an organism.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Recovers the broken immune responsiveness (regulates quantity and a ratio of T - and V-lymphocytes and their subpopulations stimulates reactions of cellular immunity, strengthens phagocytosis), stimulates processes of regeneration and a hemopoiesis in case of their oppression, and also improves the course of processes of cellular metabolism.

Indications to use:

Immunodeficiency at adults and children (from 6 months to 14 years) at:
- infectious purulent and septic processes;
- permanent dysfunctions of a thymus gland (radial illness,
thymus gland tumors, operational removal of a thymus gland);
- acute and chronic virus and bacterial
infections;
- disturbance of regenerator processes;
- oppression of immunity and a hemopoiesis after chemotherapy
or radiation therapy at oncological patients.

Route of administration and doses:

Bottle contents before an injection are dissolved in 1-2 ml of isotonic solution of sodium of chloride. The drug is administered intramusculary daily in the following doses: the adult on 5-20 mg (30-100 mg on a course), to children about a year of 1 mg; 1-3 years – 1,5-2 mg; 4-6 years – 2-3 mg; 7-14 years – 3-5 mg within 3-10 days depending on expressiveness of disturbances of immunity. If necessary conduct a repeated course (in 1-6 months). With the preventive purpose drug is used intramusculary daily, the adult on 5-10 mg, children of 1-5 mg within 3-5 days.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance, pregnancy and period of a lactation.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature not above 20 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Lyophilisate for preparation of solution for intramuscular introduction of 10 mg in glass bottles with a capacity of 5 ml. On 10 bottles place in a pack cardboard together with the application instruction. When packaging with solvent on 5 bottles with drug and 5 ampoules with solvent place in a pack together with a knife ampoule or the scarificator and the application instruction.
