The cervicitis is an inflammation of a mucous membrane of a neck of uterus. Contagiums most often are gonokokk and pyogenic bacteria.

Cervicitis symptoms even in an acute stage can be slight. Duration of a current of a cervicitis and its frequent transition to a chronic form it is connected with penetration of contagiums into glands of a mucous neck of uterus of the channel where they become unavailable to action of medical procedures. Often there is a repeated infection. And at simultaneous existence of other diseases protective forces of an organism are weakened.
For prevention of a cervicitis obligatory it is necessary to have routine inspections at the gynecologist once in 6 months even if there are no symptoms of gynecologic diseases. It will allow to reveal timely asymptomatic infections and to avoid transition of an inflammation of a neck of uterus to a chronic form. It is necessary to observe hygiene during periods (refusal of sex life, of vulval syringings) and to carry out prevention of a postabortion or puerperal infection.
