Calcium gluconate Ekstratab

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 500 mg of calcium of a gluconate of monohydrate in 1 tablet.

Excipients: lactoses monohydrate, лактитол, ксилитол, sodium cyclomate, fragrance orange or mint, or apple, magnesium stearate.

Participates in formation of a bone tissue, blood coagulation process, it is necessary for maintenance of stable cordial activity.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The source of calcium ions, belongs to the means regulating metabolic processes. Fills shortage of the calcium necessary for implementation of process of transfer of nervous impulses, reductions of skeletal and unstriated muscles, contractilities of a myocardium, formation of a bone tissue, a blood coagulation.

Besides, has antiallergenic and antiinflammatory effect.

Pharmacokinetics. After intake about 30% of the ionized calcium are soaked up in digestive tract; this process depends on presence of vitamin D, pH, features of a diet and existence of the factors capable to connect calcium. Absorption of calcium increases at its deficit and use of a diet with the reduced content of calcium. After oral administration the maximum concentration in a blood plasma is reached in 1,2–1,3 h. Gets through a placental barrier, it is excreted with breast milk.

About 20% are removed by kidneys, other quantity (80%) is removed with intestines contents (it is actively allocated with a wall of terminal department of digestive tract).

Indications to use:

- The diseases which are followed by a hypocalcemia, increase in permeability of cellular membranes (including vessels), disturbance of carrying out nervous impulses in muscular tissue.

- Hypoparathyrosis (latent tetany, osteoporosis), vitamin D exchange disturbances: rickets (a spasmophilia, osteomalacy), a hyperphosphatemia at patients with a chronic renal failure.

- The increased need for calcium (pregnancy, the lactation period, the period of the strengthened growth of an organism), insufficient content of calcium for food, disturbance of its exchange (in the postmenopauzny period).

- The strengthened calcium removal (a long bed rest, chronic diarrhea, a secondary hypocalcemia against the background of long reception of diuretics and antiepileptic medicines, glucocorticosteroids).

- The bleedings which are not demanding parenteral administration of medicines (as a part of complex therapy); allergic diseases (a serum disease, a small tortoiseshell, a feverish syndrome, an itch, a pruritic dermatosis, reactions to administration of the medicines (M) and reception of foodstuff, bronchial asthma) as a part of complex therapy; dystrophic alimentary hypostases, pulmonary tuberculosis, lead colicas; prevention of an eclampsia.

- Poisoning with magnesium salts, oxalic and fluoric acids and their soluble salts (at interaction from calcium are formed by a gluconate insoluble and non-toxic calcium oxalate and calcium fluoride).

- Parenchymatous hepatitis, toxic damages of a liver, nephrites, giperkaliyemichesky form of a proximal mioplegiya.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, before food or in 1-1.5 h after meal. Before a proglatyvaniye of a tablet chew, wash down with a small amount of water or milk. Adult - 1-3 g 2-3 times a day.

To children of 3-4 years - 1 g; 5-6 years - 1-1.5 g; 7-9 years - 1.5-2 g; 10-14 years - 2-3 g; frequency rate of reception - 2-3 times a day.

Features of use:

Or with nefrourolitiazy in the anamnesis appointment has to be carried out by the patient with an insignificant hypercalcuria, decrease in glomerular filtering under control of concentration of calcium in urine.

For decrease in risk of development of a nefrourolitiaz plentiful drink is recommended.

Side effects:

At prolonged use of calcium of a gluconate the lock, irritation of a mucous membrane of digestive tract, sometimes - formation of calciphied stones in intestines is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Forms insoluble or almost insoluble salts of calcium with carbonates, salicylates, sulfates.

Reduces antibacterial effect of antibiotics of a tetracycline row, forming with them insoluble complexes.

At simultaneous use with quinidine delay of intra ventricular conductivity and increase in toxicity of quinidine is possible.

Slows down absorption of tetracyclines, digoxin, peroral iron preparations (the interval between their receptions has to be not less than 2 h).

At a combination to thiazide diuretics can strengthen a hypercalcemia, reduce effect of a calcitonin at a hypercalcemia, reduces bioavailability of Phenytoinum.

Contraindications:

The increased individual sensitivity to one of drug components, a hypercalcemia (concentration of calcium should not exceed 12 mg of % = 6 ¼Ø¬ó/l), the expressed hypercalcuria, нефроуролитиаз (calcic), a sarcoidosis, a concomitant use of cardiac glycosides (risk of developing of arrhythmias), children's age up to 3 years.

With care. Dehydration, electrolytic disturbances (risk of development of a hypercalcemia), diarrhea, a sprue, calcic нефроуролитиаз (in the anamnesis), an insignificant hypercalcuria, the moderated HPN, HSN, widespread atherosclerosis, hypercoagulation.

Overdose:

Excessive long administration of drugs of calcium can lead to a hypercalcemia with adjournment of salts of calcium in bodies and vessels.

Overdose symptoms: drowsiness, weakness, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, locks, a polyuria, dehydration, are possible disturbances of a cordial rhythm.

Treatment: As an antidote use a calcitonin in/in at the rate of 5–10 ME/kg (having parted it in 500 ml of 0.9% of solution of sodium chloride). Duration of introduction is 6 h.

Storage conditions:
