Phytorelax

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: A valerian extract - 150 mg of the Hawthorn extract - 80 mg

Excipients: lactose, silicon dioxide colloid, karmelloza, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug of a plant origin; pharmacological activity is caused by a complex of biologically active agents which are its part.

Extract of a valerian possesses moderately expressed sedative and spasmolytic action.

Extract of a hawthorn renders moderate cardiotonic, spasmolytic, sedative action.

Indications to use:

As sedative at the increased nervous irritability, sleeplessness, and also in complex therapy of functional cardiac disturbances, a cardialgia, asthenoneurotic states.

Route of administration and doses:

To accept inside the adult, without chewing, washing down with a small amount of water, 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day.
At sleeplessness to accept on 2 tablets in 30-60 minutes before going to bed.
Course of treatment 1,5-2 months.

Features of use:

It is not necessary to use drug more than 1,5-2 months daily.

At use of drug reduction in the rate of psychomotor reactions therefore it should not be applied before control of vehicles or work with mechanisms is possible.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (urticaria, itch) are possible. At prolonged use in the doses exceeding recommended slackness, depression, drowsiness, decrease in working capacity are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug strengthens effect of the hypnotic drugs, sedatives, tranquilizers and other medicines oppressing the central nervous system, spasmolysants, and also ethanol that demands correction of doses at combined use.

At the combined use of drug and cardiac glycosides (strophanthin, digoxin, etc.) there is strengthening of cardiotonic effect.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, children's age (up to 18 years, due to the lack of clinical data).

USE AT PREGNANCY AND IN THE PERIOD OF THE LACTATION:
Due to the lack so far sufficient researches drug is not recommended to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Overdose:

At overdose the feeling of fatigue, abdominal pains, weight in breasts, dizziness, a tremor, a mydriasis, bradycardia, a lowering of arterial pressure are possible.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C, in the dry, protected from light place. To store in the place, unavailable to children!
