General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 80 g of a geranium cribriform (Pelargonium sidoides DC syn. Pelargonium sidifolium Thomb.) roots (1:9Yo11) of extract liquid (экстрагент­этанол 11% (m/m).

Auxiliary components: glycerin of 85% 20 g.

Description: transparent or slightly opalescent liquid from svetloyokorichnevy till krasnovatoyokorichnevy color.

Vegetable drug for treatment of catarrhal diseases.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has antimicrobic effect, has mucolytic properties, promotes increase in nonspecific resistance of an organism.

Pharmacokinetics. Liquid extract of roots of a geranium cribriform contains a large amount of biologically active agents which in total define its pharmacological activity. Therefore data on pharmacokinetics of the separate chemical components which are a part of extract are insufficient for extrapolation on drug in general.

Indications to use:

Acute and chronic infektsionnoyovospalitelny respiratory diseases and ENT organs (sinusitis, a nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis) as a part of complex therapy.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 12 years are more senior it is recommended to accept inside on 20-Yo30 drops 3 times a day;

To children aged from 6 up to 12 years – on 10Yo-20 of drops 3 times a day;

To children from 1 year to 6 years – on 5Yo-10 of drops 3 times a day.

Drug should be accepted in 30 minutes prior to food, with a small amount of water.

The average duration of a course of treatment makes 10 days. After disappearance of symptoms of a disease it is recommended to continue treatment within several days for prevention of a recurrence.

In need of treatment continuation, especially at the chronic course of a disease or at a frequent recurrence to adults and children 12 years after consultation with the doctor are more senior it is recommended to accept on 10Yo-20 of drops 3 times a day.

Features of use:

 As a part of drug 12% (v/v) of ethanol contain.

In the course of storage liquid plant extracts tend to opacification, however it does not affect their pharmacological efficiency. As Umkalor is a natural product, minor changes of color and taste of drug are possible.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible. Seldom or never nausea, vomiting, pain in epigastric area, diarrhea.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with derivatives of coumarin strengthening of their anticoagulating action is possible.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, predisposition to bleedings, a serious illness of a liver and kidneys, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age till 1 year.

Overdose:

About overdose cases it was not reported so far. Drug has good tolerance.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C, in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 4 years. Not to use drug after the period of validity specified on packaging.

On 20 ml and 50 ml in the bottle from dark glass of a hydrolytic class III supplied with a dropper from polyethylene of the low density (LDYoPE) and the screwing-up cover from polypropylene. Each bottle together with the application instruction is located in a cardboard pack.
