General characteristics. Structure:

Active components: A thermopsis lanceolate herbs - 0,0067 g; Natrii hydrocarbonas - 0,2500 g;

Pharmacological properties:

The alkaloids which are contained in a thermopsis grass (cytisine, caulophyllin, Pachycarpinum, ана­гирин, thermodogs, термопсидин) have exciting effect on respiratory and, in high doses, on emetic the centers.
 
Natrii hydrocarbonas stimulates secretion of bronchial glands, promotes a snizheyoniya of viscosity of a phlegm.
  
Pharmacokinetics. Components of drug are well soaked up in digestive tract. The maximum of action comes in 30-60 min. after intake and lasts for 2-6 h. Are brought out of an organism by kidneys, a mucous membrane of respiratory tracts and bronchial glands.

Indications to use:

The respiratory diseases which are followed by cough with hardly separated mokroyoty (tracheitis, bronchitis) – as a part of complex therapy.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside the adult appoint on 1 tablet 3 times a day. A course of treatment within 3-5 days.

The highest single dose in terms of a thermopsis – 0,1 g (14 tablets). The highest daily dose in terms of a thermopsis – 0,3 g (42 tablets).

To children 12 years – on 1 tablet 2-3 times a day are more senior. Course of treatment of 3-5 days. Need of purpose of a repeated course is defined by the doctor.

Features of use:

For improvement of fluidifying and department of a phlegm it is recommended to appoint plentiful warm drink. Cough pills do not influence driving of motor transport and control of mechanisms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible; nausea.

Interaction with other medicines:

The adsorbents knitting and enveloping means can reduce absorption of the alkaloids which are a part of a grass of a thermopsis in digestive tract.
 
Cough pills should not be applied along with the drugs containing codeine and other antibechic medicines as it complicates expectoration of a phlegm.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in an aggravation phase, children's age (up to 12 years).

Overdose:

Storage conditions:
