Bar-VIPS

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 98,942 g of barium of sulfate in 100 g of drug.

Excipients: citrate sodium a dihydrate, sorbitol, fragrance banana, methylparahydroxybenzoate, Espumizan 40 (in terms of dry matter).

 As a part of Espumizan 40 contains: симетикон, methylparahydroxybenzoate, a karmelloza of sodium, polysorbate 80, sodium cyclomate, silicon dioxide colloid, sodium saccharinate, fragrance banana No. 516060, Acidum hydrochloricum (1M), hydrochloric, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Complex X-ray contrast means. Envelops a mucous membrane of a digestive tract and provides a sharp image of a microrelief of a mucous membrane. The expressed adhesive properties of drug allow to study thin changes of a microrelief of a mucous membrane of a GIT. Increases picture contrast at X-ray inspections of bodies of a GIT.

Pharmacokinetics. Possesses a hypotoxicity. It is not soaked up from digestive tract and does not get to a system blood stream. It is completely brought out of an organism during 24-48 h.

Indications to use:

X-ray inspection of a throat, gullet, stomach and intestines (including method of a double contrast study).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, in the form of previously prepared suspension. Suspension prepares by gradual cultivation of all amount of powder (240 or 100 g) in boiled water in the ratio from 3:1 to 4:1 at continuous stirring within 3 min. The amount of the accepted suspension depends on a method of a research and makes from 15-20 to 80-100 ml.

Rektalno, for a research of a large intestine part with method of a retrograde double contrast study of 720 g of powder in 300 ml of water.

Features of use:

Pregnancy and lactation: at pregnancy it is not recommended. At a lactation it is not contraindicated.

For carrying out a double contrast study at adults and children of advanced age (at children of younger age it is inexpedient to carry out a double contrast study) just before a research the patient is given, depending on age, 1.5-3.5 g of baking soda (in solution or powder) which is quickly washed down with solution by 1-3 g of citric acid. The total amount of the distilled water should not exceed 7-15 ml.

It can be used for studying of motility of intestines at children. After oral administration suspension passes a small intestine at children for 1-2 h that gives the chance within a short period of time to study structure and motive function of a small intestine and, thereby, to refuse special receptions of its research.

Duration of passing of suspension on a large intestine of 4 h that considerably reduces time of examination of intestines and reduces beam loading twice.

Influence on ability to manage vehicles and mechanisms. Usually use of the drug Bar-VIPS does not exert impact on ability to manage vehicles, mechanisms.

Side effects:

When carrying out ordinary researches in the specified dosage of side effects does not cause. When using gas-forming substances in the course of a double contrast study emergence of unpleasant feelings in a stomach is possible

The individual intolerance, locks, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting is possible.

Isolated cases of so-called "baric" appendicitis, enterospasms are described.

Interaction with other medicines:

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, perforation of a mucous membrane of a digestive tract (suspicion on it), disturbance of the act of swallowing, intestinal impassability, locks, a gullet stenosis, bleeding from bodies of a GIT, an atresia, a state after operative measures on bodies of a GIT, a sprue, food allergy, ezofagotrakhealny fistulas.

With care: general serious condition of the patient.

Overdose:

Due to the hypotoxicity cases of overdose were not observed.

Storage conditions:

In the dry place. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to apply after a period of validity.

Packaging:

Powder for preparation of suspension for intake. Packaging: on 240 and 100 g in packages from the combined material polyethyleneterephthalate - aluminum foil - polyethylene. On one package together with the application instruction place in a pack from a cardboard bandbox or in a pack from a cardboard coated or in a package from a film polyethylene. On 40 and 60 packages together with application instructions in the quantity equal to the number of packages, place in a box of corrugated fibreboard.
