Indometatsinovy ointment of 10%

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 4 g of indometacin in each tuba.

Excipients: a dimethyl sulfoxide, urea, a macrogoal 400, a macrogoal 1500, propylene glycol, left menthol, methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Renders antiinflammatory, analgeziruyushchy, febrifugal, antiedematous action. Reduces morning constraint, pain, hypostasis, an erythema and a swelling of joints, promotes increase in volume of movements.

Indications to use:

• Traumatic the caused inflammations of sinews, sheaves, muscles and joints (as a result of stretchings, dislocations, after loading and bruises).
• The localized forms of an inflammation of soft tissues: tendovaginitis, tendinitis, syndrome "shoulder hand", bursitis.
• Mialgiya, radiculitis (sciatica, lumbago).
• Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of a musculoskeletal system (the deforming osteoarthrosis, rheumatic arthritis, psoriasis arthritis, pseudorheumatism, the humeroscapular periarthritis ankylosing a spondylarthritis) except for degenerative diseases of hip and small intervertebral joints.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. Apply 3 - 4 times a day on sore joints or body parts, rub in skin.

Total quantity of ointment for adults in days should not exceed 15 cm which are squeezed out from a tuba for children – 7,5 cm. It is not recommended to use occlusive bandages.

Features of use:

Ointment should be applied only on the unimpaired sites of skin, to avoid hit in eyes or on mucous membranes.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions; an itch and a dermahemia, rash in the place of application, a xeroderma, burning, at prolonged use - system manifestations.

In isolated cases - an exacerbation of psoriasis.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant interaction with other medicines is improbable, owing to insignificant system absorption.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (the III trimester – for drawing on big surfaces), disturbances of integrity of integuments in the place of alleged drawing, children's age (till 1 year).

With care. Children's age (up to 6 years), a full or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, the nose recuring a polypose and okolonosovy bosoms and intolerance of ASK or other NPVP (including in the anamnesis), a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut (in an aggravation stage), disturbances of coagulability of blood (including hemophilia, lengthening of a bleeding time, tendency to bleedings), pregnancy (I and II trimesters), the lactation period.

Overdose:

The overdose phenomena (generally from digestive tract: lack of appetite, nausea, vomiting, a diarrhea, pain, hemorrhages and ultseration) can be observed very seldom only at prolonged use on the big area of skin.

At hit in eyes, on mucous membranes or open wounds the local irritation - dacryagogue, reddening, burning, pain is observed.

Measures - plentiful washing of an affected area the water purified or normal saline solution before reduction or disappearance of complaints.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use medicine after the termination of a period of validity.
