General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: the colourless, transparent, flying igniting liquid with a characteristic smell.

Structure: 100 g of solution contain alcohol of ethyl 96% – 66,42g.
Excipient: the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. At external use has antiseptic, disinfecting, local irritative action. Ethanol coagulates proteins, active after the relation of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and viruses. Has "tannic" action on skin and mucous membranes. At inhalation use system effects of effect of alcohol are possible. Its therapeutic action as defoaming agent begins in 10–15 minutes, and full therapeutic action — in 1 hour.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration it is not soaked up through skin.

Indications to use:

Septil apply generally as an outside local irritative and antiseptic agent to treatment of furuncles, felons, infiltrates, mastitis at early stages. Apply as an antiseptic agent to surgical treatment of hands of surgeons. Apply as the defoaming agent at an alveolar fluid lungs. As the revellent is applied to rubdowns and compresses.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly — for rubdowns, compresses, disinfection of skin, including hands, in the form of lotions. At an alveolar fluid lungs appoint inhalations of vapors of alcohol in the conditions of a hospital through носовй a catheter.

Features of use:

 Not to allow hit of drug in eyes!

Features of use. For compresses and rubdowns ( for the purpose of the prevention of a burn) ethanol should be dissolved with water in the ratio 1:1.

 During inhalation use of ethanol for avoidance of its intensive absorption and emergence of excitement each 30–35 minutes it is necessary to inhale oxygen or oxygen air mixture.

 It is not necessary to violate rules of use of medicine, it can do much harm to health. 

Side effects:

Oppressions of the central nervous system. Irritations of skin and mucous membranes are possible.

 In case of any undesirable phenomena it is necessary to see a doctor!

Interaction with other medicines:

At ethanol use internally along with nitrofurans increase in toxicity of the last is noted. At simultaneous use of ethanol and peroral protidiabetichesky means (derivatives of sulphanilic acid) development of a hypoglycemic coma is possible. Ethanol reduces efficiency of thiamin, increases risk of developing of stomach ulcer at a combination to acetylsalicylic acid. At joint reception with hypnagogues of different groups the breath complication is observed.

Overdose:

It was not observed.

Storage conditions:

To store in well corked container, in unavailable to children. Period of storage: it is not limited.
