Unguentum Heparini

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: ointment of white color with a yellowish shade.
Active agents: 1 g of ointment contains heparin sodium 100  PIECES 1 mg, anaesthesin (benzocaine) of 40 mg.
Excipients: vaseline, sunflower oil the refined, corn oil refined, бензилникотинат, glycerin, T-2 emulsifier, нипагин (methylparahydroxybenzoate), water cleared.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological properties. Unguentum Heparini is the combined medicine, when drawing on skin shows antiinflammatory and local anesthetic of action, interferes with formation of blood clots, renders assistance to a rassasyvaniye of educated blood clots.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration in system blood circulation only the insignificant amount of heparin which is removed preferential by kidneys is soaked up.

Indications to use:

Thrombophlebitises of superficial veins of extremities, phlebitis, after repeated intravenous injections, fibrinferments of hemorrhoidal veins.

Route of administration and doses:

Unguentum Heparini is applied locally. Drug is appointed the adult. At thrombophlebitis of superficial veins of extremities ointment inflict on a zone defeats a thin layer ( at the rate of 0,5-1 g on the site with a diameter of 3-5 cm ) and carefully rub in skin. At fibrinferment of hemorrhoidal veins ointment is applied on a napkin from fabric which is imposed directly on hemorrhoidal nodes and fixed a bandage. It is also possible to use a tampon with  the ointment applied on it which is entered into an anus. Ointment is applied by 2–3 times a day before disappearance of signs of an inflammation, on average   from 3 to 14 days.

Features of use:

It is undesirable to apply ointment during pregnancy, lactations, at blood coagulation disturbance.

Side effects:

Ointment can show local irritative action which is followed by reddening, an itch or a small cutaneous dropsy. These phenomena quickly will pass after drug withdrawal.

Interaction with other medicines:

Anticoagulating drugs, acetylsalicylic acid, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can strengthen effect of ointment. Foxglove drugs, tetracyclines, nicotine, antihistaminic drugs can weaken effect of ointment.

Contraindications:

Ulcer and necrotic processes in a thrombophlebitis zone, a reduced blood coagulation. Hypersensitivity to ointment components.

Overdose:

 It is not described.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 8-15 °C, in dry protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity — 3 years.
