General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 10 mg of bisacodyl in 1 suppository.

Excipient: витепсол W45.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Bisacodyl increases secretion of slime in a large intestine, accelerates and increases its peristaltics. Action is caused by direct stimulation of nerve terminations in a mucous membrane of a large intestine.

Indications to use:

The locks caused by hypotonia of a large intestine. Purgation in respect of preoperative preparation. Preparation for tool and X-ray inspections.

Route of administration and doses:

Adults and children are more senior than 10 years - on 1 suppository 1-2 times a day. Children aged from 6 up to 10 years - on ½ suppositories 1-2 times a day. At children 6 years drug use perhaps only on doctor's orders are younger. Suppository is entered into a rectum by the pointed end forward. It is not necessary to use drug more than 7 days without special instructions of the doctor.

Features of use:

With care use drug at pregnant women and the feeding women, at patients with diseases of a liver and/or kidneys, and also at patients with suspicion on existence of inflammatory diseases of intestines.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible. From digestive tract spastic abdominal pains, diarrhea which can lead to organism dehydration, disturbance of electrolytic balance are possible. Use of high doses or prolonged use of bisacodyl can lead to development of an atony of intestines.

Contraindications:

Intestinal impassability, the restrained hernia, acute diseases of abdominal organs, including peritonitis, acute inflammatory diseases of intestines, heavy dehydration, bleedings from digestive tract, uterine bleedings, a spastic lock, an acute proctitis, acute hemorrhoids, a carcinoma of a large intestine, hypersensitivity to drug.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry place, at a temperature not above +25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of storage of 5 years. Not to apply after expiry date.

Suppositories rectal 10 mg. 6 suppositories in a strip from aluminum foil. One strip with the application instruction in a cardboard pack.
