General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 5 g of covers of seeds of a plantain of oval (Plantago ovata Forssk).

Excipients: aspartame; fragrances: fragrance fruit "Tropical fruit PDF-214" or fragrance orange O-1-15617-J-71.

The powder of Fayberleks for preparation of suspension for intake consisting of yellow-white color, brittle, various form of pieces of a seed cover (periblast), up to 3 mm long and up to 1.5 mm wide, with inclusions of various form and color of other parts of a seed; passing through a sieve with openings with a diameter of 2 mm.




Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Laxative drug. Effect of drug is caused by irritation of receptors of a mucous membrane of intestines due to increase in volume of contents of intestines as a result of water absorption by drug.

Pharmacokinetics. According to the International convention (EMEAHMPWG11/99) when carrying out clinical tests of drugs of a plant origin the isolated research of pharmacokinetic parameters is not required.


Indications to use:

— acute and chronic lock;

proctal cracks;

hemorrhoids;

the postoperative period at interventions in anorectal area (for a chair softening).


Route of administration and doses:

Drug is appointed on 1 sachet in 30 min. prior to food. It is necessary to mix contents of 1 sachet from 200 ml of warm or cold water and to drink slowly.

Course of treatment at acute locks - 1-2 days (before disappearance of a lock); at chronic locks - up to 4 weeks, after a week break carrying out a repeated course is possible; at proctal cracks and hemorrhoids - up to 4 weeks, before achievement of lack of discomfort at defecation, after a week break carrying out a repeated course is possible; during the postoperative period at interventions in anorectal area - according to the recommendation of the doctor (up to 4 weeks).


Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Drug is contraindicated to use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Use for children. Contraindication: children's age (up to 18 years).

Use for elderly patients. The wrong administration of drug (with insufficient amount of liquid or without liquid) can lead to irritation of a gullet or intestines, especially at elderly patients.

Side effects:

Interaction with other medicines:

Contraindications:

intestinal impassability;

— pathological narrowings of a GIT;

— pregnancy;

— lactation period;

— children's age (up to 18 years);

— the increased individual sensitivity to drug components.


Overdose:

Data on overdose are not provided.


Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 3 years. Not to apply upon termination of a period of validity.
