Homviotenzin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 32 mg of Reserpinum of D3, 32 mg of Rauwolfia of D3, 32 mg of a mistletoe of white D2, 64 mg of a hawthorn of D2. 

Excipients: lactose, monohydrate, starch corn, magnesium stearate.

Homeopathic medicine Homviotenzin has hypotensive effect, reduces pressure, renders membrane stabilizing and anti-atherosclerotic effect, interferes with sharp pressure-jumps, removes nervous excitement, reduces meteodependence. Normalizes an endocardiac hemodynamics, contractility of a myocardium, a tone of arteries, function of kidneys, softly reduces arterial pressure and stabilizes it.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Normalizes an endocardiac hemodynamics, contractility of a myocardium, a tone of arteries, function of kidneys, softly reduces arterial pressure and stabilizes it. The mechanism of hypotensive action is caused by influence on a vasomotor center in a myelencephalon, decrease in cordial emission and the general peripheric resistance of vessels, decrease in concentration of biogenic amines (a catecholamine, a dopamine) in the central nervous system , spasmolytic action.

Raises a diuresis and removal of nitrogenous slags, has antiarrhytmic, anti-atherosclerotic and membrane stabilizing effect. Shows easy sedative action (reduces feeling of alarm, fear, a depression, emotional pressure)  due to influence on   the central nervous system.

Pharmakokinetiaka. Pharmacokinetic properties  are not known. Active ingredient Reserpinum is quickly soaked up after intake, 96 its % contact proteins of plasma. Reserpinum gets through a placental barrier and is allocated with breast milk. Reserpinum is almost completely metabolized and brought     out of an organism with excrements or urine, half-life makes from 4,5 to 271 hours.

Indications to use:

Arterial hypertension Ι degrees.

As an additional tool in the arterial hypertension combined therapies ΙΙ degrees.

Neurocirculatory dystonia.

Route of administration and doses:

The initial dose of drug for adults is determined by indicators of the average daily arterial pressure (AP). Recommendations about a dosage, depending on the average daily ABP prior to treatment (mm of mercury.):

- from 160/100 to 179/109 (as a part of a combination therapy): in the morning - 2 таб., in the afternoon - 1 таб., in the evening - 1 таб.

- from 140/90 to 159/99: in the morning - 1 таб., in the afternoon - 0, in the evening - 1 таб. 

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast was not studied therefore during pregnancy and feeding by a breast drug cannot be used.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Active ingredient Reserpinum in an initiation of treatment can influence the speed of reactions, causing fatigue and disturbance of concentration of attention, especially at interaction with alcohol, anesthetics, antihistaminic, somnolent (barbiturates), psychotropic drugs therefore it is necessary to be especially careful   during control of motor transport or during the work with difficult mechanisms.

Children. There are no data on efficiency and safety of use to children.

The first signs of improvement of a state appear cherez1 week after an initiation of treatment. When replacing of blockers of β-adrenoceptors with Homviotenzin,      (angiotensin-converting enzyme) or other hypotensive drugs the last accept antagonists of calcium ions, APF inhibitors within the first week in a half dose together with Homviotenzin, on the second week - 1/4 initial doses, on the third - 1/4 initial doses every other day then they can be cancelled, but  on condition of permanent normalization of arterial pressure and to leave only Homviotenzin or to combine it with the minimum dose of heteropathic means.

It is necessary  to control arterial pressure regularly. After reception of the first dose of drug  perhaps short-term strengthening of the main symptoms of a disease (homeopathic effect of the first dose). In this case it is necessary to reduce temporarily a dose or frequency of receptions and to see a doctor. Homeopathic medicines at a sensitive condition of patients can cause repeated symptoms (new symptoms), at emergence of new symptoms it is necessary to stop  administration of drug and to see a doctor. 

Drug contains lactose.  Not to apply to patients with hereditary intolerance of a galactose, deficit of lactase of Lapp or disturbance of malabsorption of glucose galactose. By clinical trials it is proved that the combined Homviotenzin's reception with Homvio-Nervin or with Homviokorinom-N increases hypotensive effect and improves quality of life. Does not reduce a sexual potentiality at men.

Side effects:

 Development of reaction of hypersensitivity to  drug,   including an itch is possible.  As for active ingredient Reserpinum, especially its high doses, it was reported about the following reactions:

from digestive tract - increase in motility  of digestive tract, gastrointestinal ulcers, dryness in a mouth;

from a nervous system - sedation, depressive mood, drowsiness;

 from cardiovascular system - bradycardia, orthostatic disturbances of regulation; 

other reactions - feeling of a congestion of a nose, a gynecomastia (at men).

At emergence of the side reactions undescribed in the instruction to tell the doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

Cases of incompatibility of Homviotenzin with other medicines are not known.

At simultaneous use of active ingredient Reserpinum with diuretic (thiazide diuretics), can amplify action of Reserpinum.

Reserpinum strengthens action of other antihypertensives, action of a foxglove, antiarrhytmic means (quinidine), the oppressing effect of alcohol, analgetik, antihistaminic and psychotropic drugs.

It is necessary to stop reception of MAO inhibitors not less than in 14 days prior to Homviotenzin's reception.

 Homviotenzin's tablets can strengthen action of sympathomimetics (expectorants, eye, nasal drops).

Reserpinum reduces action of means against  Parkinson's disease (levodopa).

Smoking,  alcohol intake and tonics (tea, coffee) can weaken effect of homeopathic remedies. 

When using other medicines it is necessary to tell the doctor.

Contraindications:

Drug is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to its components. Because of existence in composition of drug of Reserpinum it is contraindicated to apply it at a depression, depressions in the anamnesis, gastrointestinal ulcers, a pheochromocytoma.

Overdose:

At reception of a large amount of drug (more than 12 tablets a day) emergence of abdominal pains, frustration of a chair or vomiting is possible. The overdose by active ingredient can lead Reserpinum to the sedation, depressive mood expressed to hypotension, bradycardia.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C, a period of validity of 5 years.
