Cough syrup with a plantain and coltsfoot

General characteristics. Structure:

Active components:

Plantain lance-leaved leaves extract - 5,00 g
Coltsfoots of leaves extract - 5,00 g
Mint oil - 0,01 g
Eucalyptus oil - 0,01 g.

Excipients: honey, a food dye "caramel", sugar brown, potassium sorbate, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug of a plant origin; has expectorant and antiinflammatory effect.

Indications to use:

As a part of complex therapy of acute and chronic respiratory diseases (tracheitis, a tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, bronchial pneumonia).

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used inside. Children are from 6 to 10 years old – on 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day; children are from 10 to 15 years old – on the 2nd teaspoons 2-3 times a day; to adults and children 15 years – on 1-2 tablespoons 3-4 times a day are more senior. Course of treatment 2-3 weeks. Increase in duration and carrying out repeated courses of treatment is possible according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Features of use:

Drug should be used with care a sick diabetes mellitus (because of the high content of sugar in drug).

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Cough syrup with a plantain and coltsfoot should not be applied along with the drugs containing codeine and other antibechic medicines as it complicates expectoration of the liquefied phlegm.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components; hyperacid gastritis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach with a hyperoxemia, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age (up to 6 years).

Overdose:

So far cases of overdose are not described.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 30 °C, in the dry, protected from light place. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Syrup. On 100 ml, 200 ml and 250 ml in bottles from dark glass or in dark plastic bottles; on 1 bottle in a cardboard box with the application instruction.
