General characteristics. Structure:

100 g of syrup contain:
active agent: extract of a thyme of liquid 9,00 g
excipients:
potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate, caramel, глицерол 85%, sorbitol of 70%, the water purified.

Description: brown liquid with a thyme smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Туссамаг has expectorant effect, liquefies a phlegm and reduces its viscosity.
Active ingredients of drug - methyl-isopropyl phenol and carvacrol - have also antimicrobic effect.

Indications to use:

Respiratory diseases with difficult separated phlegm (bronchitis, tracheitises, a tracheobronchitis, etc.).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, it is desirable after food.
If the doctor did not appoint other dosage, then drug is accepted:
• adults: 3-4 times a day on 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml);
• children are more senior than 5 years and teenagers: 3-4 times a day on 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml);
• children from 1 year to 5 years: 2-3 times a day on 1 teaspoon (5 ml).

Features of use:

Drug contains 4 объемн. alcohol %.
Not to freeze!
Drug contains plant extract, in from a ligature with what perhaps easy opacification of solution or emergence of a deposit in a bottle, however it does not influence efficiency of drug.
Sick diabetes mellitus it is necessary to pay attention to the content of sugar. In 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of syrup 3,3 g of sucrose (respectively 0,28 HE) contain.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, nausea are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not necessary to apply along with antibechic drugs, and also with the medicines reducing formation of a phlegm as it interferes with expectoration of the liquefied phlegm.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, chronic heart failure in a decompensation stage, a renal and/or liver failure, pregnancy, the breastfeeding period, children's age (till 1 year).

With care: a diabetes mellitus (in connection with availability of sugar as a part of drug).

Overdose:

So far data on cases of overdose are absent.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 30 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children! Period of validity 3 years. Not to apply after a period of validity.
