Dyuspatalin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: mebeverina hydrochloride of 200 mg

Excipients: magnesium stearate — 13,1 mg; copolymer of methacrylic acid — 10,4 mg; talc — 4,9 mg; a gipromelloza — 0,1 mg; copolymer of methacrylic and etakrilovy acids — 15,2 mg; a glitserola triacetate — 2,9 mg  

Solid gelatin capsule: gelatin — 74,2 mg; titanium dioxide (E171) — 1,8 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The spasmolysant of myotropic action, has direct effect on smooth muscles of a GIT (mainly a large intestine). Eliminates a spasm, without influencing a normal peristaltics of intestines. Does not possess anticholinergic action.

Pharmacokinetics. At intake is exposed to presistemny hydrolysis and it is not found in plasma. It is metabolized in a liver to the veratric acid and mebeverinovy alcohol. It is removed mainly by kidneys in the form of metabolites, in small amounts — with bile. Capsules of a mebeverin have properties of long release. Even after multiple dose considerable cumulation is not observed.

Indications to use:

At adults:
- a spasm of bodies of a GIT (including caused by an organic disease);
- intestinal and bilious colic;
- irritable colon.

At children 12 years are more senior:
- the functional disorders of a GIT which are followed by an abdominal pain.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, in 20 min. prior to food, without chewing and washing down with water — 200 mg 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening).

Features of use:

During treatment it is necessary to be careful when driving motor transport and during the occupations potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Seldom — dizziness, is extremely rare — a small tortoiseshell, a Quincke's edema, a face edema and a dieback.

Interaction with other medicines:

There are no data.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast
In experiments on animals the teratogenic effect is not found. At purpose of drug during pregnancy it is necessary to correlate advantage for mother and potential risk for a fruit. In therapeutic doses мебеверин does not get into breast milk therefore its use during breastfeeding is possible.

Overdose:

Symptoms: increase in excitability of TsNS (theoretically).

Treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy. The specific antidote is unknown.

Storage conditions:

In the dry place, at a temperature of 5-30 °C.
To store in the place, unavailable to children.
