General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent – Ambroxol a hydrochloride 15.0 30.0.

Excipients: sorbitol, methylparahydroxybenzoate, пропилпарагидроксибензоат, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate 5,5-water, sodium saccharinate, fragrance food, the water purified.

Syrup of 15 mg / 5мл and 30 mg / 5 ml, 100 ml, 150 ml.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacokinetics. After intake, Ambroxol is almost completely absorbed from digestive tract. The maximum concentration of drug is reached approximately in 2 h. In a blood plasma about 90% of drug contacts proteins. Distribution of Ambroxol between blood and fabrics happens quickly, high concentration of active agents in lungs is observed.

Ambroxol is intensively metabolized in a liver. It is removed, generally (about 90%) with urine. The elimination half-life of drug makes 9-10 h.

Action comes in 30 minutes and continues within 6-12 hours.

Pharmacodynamics. Амбро® - mucolytic drug. Possesses sekretomotorny, sekretolitichesky and expectorant action; stimulates serous cells of glands of a mucous membrane of bronchial tubes, increases the maintenance of a mucous secret and release of surfactant (surfactant) in alveoluses and bronchial tubes; normalizes the broken ratio of serous and mucous components of a phlegm. Activating the hydrolyzing enzymes and strengthening release of lysosomes from cells Klara, reduces viscosity of a phlegm. Increases physical activity of a ciliary epithelium, increases mukotsiliarny transport.

Indications to use:

- acute and chronic bronchitis;

- pneumonia;

- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;

- bronchial asthma with the complicated phlegm otkhozhdeniye;

- prevention of developments of stagnation in bronchopulmonary system after big operational interventions, injuries, etc.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, after food washing down with enough liquid.

To children under 2 years appoint 2,5 ml (syrup 15mg/5ml) 2 times a day. To children from 2 to 5 years on 2,5 ml (syrup 15mg/5ml) 3 times a day, from 5 to 12 years – on 5 ml (syrup 15mg/5ml) or 2,5 ml (syrup 30mg/5ml) 2-3 times a day.

The adult, in the first 2-3 days, on 10 ml (syrup 15mg/5ml) or 5 ml (syrup 30mg/5ml) 3 times a day, then on 10 ml (syrup 15mg/5ml) or 5 ml (syrup 30mg/5ml) 2 times a day.

Duration of treatment depends on features of a course of a disease. It is not recommended to apply syrup without medical appointment more than 4-5 days. At the admission of administration of drug it is not necessary to double a dose.

Features of use:

With care appoint at an abnormal liver function or kidneys, motor dysfunction of bronchial tubes or at allocation of a large number of a secret (because of slime accumulation threat). At heavy abnormal liver functions and kidneys it is necessary to reduce a dosage or to increase intervals between receptions.

It is not recommended in the I trimester of pregnancy. In II and the III trimester of pregnancy use is possible if the expected effect of therapy exceeds potential risk for a fruit.

Considering side effects of medicine it is necessary to be careful at control of motor transport or potentially dangerous mechanisms.

Side effects:

Drug is usually well transferred.

Seldom:

- weakness, headache;

- gastralgias, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;

- dieback.

Very seldom:

- skin manifestations;

- breath disturbance.

Interaction with other medicines:

Simultaneous use of Ambro® with the medicines having antibechic activity is not recommended (for example, containing codeine. Simultaneous use of Ambro® with antibiotics (amoxicillin, tsefuroksy, erythromycin, doxycycline and others) improves receipt of antibiotics in pulmonary ways that can reduce treatment terms.

Contraindications:

- hypersensitivity to Ambroxol and/or other components of drug;

- peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum;

- I trimester of pregnancy and period of a lactation.

Overdose:

So far intoxication cases are noted by drug.

In case of overdose symptomatic therapy is necessary.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature not over 25 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children!
