Ambroxol hydrochloride, tab. 0,03g No. 20

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 1 tablet contains - Ambroxol of a hydrochloride of 0,03 g;

excipients: lactose, cellulose microcrystallic, aerosil, calcium stearate, potato starch.

Pharmacological properties:

Drug renders (sekretolitichesky) and expectorating effects expressed mucolytic, possesses weak antibechic action. Stimulates formation of surfactant, normalizes rheological indicators of a phlegm and the broken bronchopulmonary secretion, reduces viscosity and adhesiveness of a phlegm, increases mukotsiliarny transport, facilitating removal of a phlegm from bronchial tubes.

Indications to use:

As a symptomatic treatment at acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory organs which is followed by formation of the viscous and hardly separated phlegm: an acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis in aggravation stages, tracheitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis; bronchial asthma, bronchial pneumonia, mucoviscidosis, bronchoectatic disease. Drug is used also for prevention of developments of stagnation in bronchopulmonary system after big operative measures, injuries.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is appointed to adults and children 12 years on 1 tablet (30 mg) 2-3 times a day (in especially hard cases the daily dose can be increased to 180 mg) are more senior. To children at the age of 5-12 years - on 1/2 tablets (15 mg) 2-3 times a day, 3-5 years - on 1/4 tablets (7,5 mg) 3 times a day. Other dosage form is recommended to children up to 3 years. Drug is accepted in time or after food, washing down with a small amount of liquid. Duration of a course of therapy is defined individually depending on efficiency of therapy and, as a rule, makes 10-14 days.

Side effects:

Heartburn, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions (skin rash, small tortoiseshell, anginevrotichesky hypostasis) are seldom possible.

Contraindications:

Peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum, spasm of any etiology, 1 trimester of pregnancy, the lactation period, hypersensitivity to drug components, children up to 3 years.
