Diclofenac

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 1 tablet contains - diclofenac of sodium of 0,05 g.

Pharmacological properties:

Has antiinflammatory, soothing, febrifugal effect. Weakens a rest pain and at the movement, morning constraint, a swelling of joints, improves their functional capacity. It is quickly soaked up in blood. The maximum concentration in plasma is reached in 1 - 2 hour.

Indications to use:

Tablets of Diclofenac are intended for treatment of the patients having preferential rheumatic diseases: osteoarthrosis, pseudorheumatism, ankylosing spondylitis, other diseases of joints and backbone, diseases of soft tissues. Drug can be used by a short-term course for treatment of acute musculoskeletal frustration, tendinites, a bursitis, postoperative pains.

Route of administration and doses:

The dose of drug and duration of use are appointed by the doctor depending on character and disease severity, reaction of the patient to drug and therapeutic effect. To adults and teenagers 15 years are more senior appoint usually 25 - 50 mg 2 - 3 times a day, sometimes increase a daily dose to 100 - 150 mg in 4 - 6 receptions. Duration of a course of treatment is determined by the doctor. Course dose of drug from 3000 to 6000 mg. To children aged from 6-14 years appoint 0,5 - 2 mg/kg of body weight a day in 2 - 3 receptions or 50 mg 2 times a day. At treatment of a juvenile pseudorheumatism increase in a dose to 3 mg/kg/days is admissible that is the maximum daily dose for children. A pill is taken in time or after food, without chewing, washing down with water.

Side effects:

Gastrointestinal frustration: nausea, anorexia, pains in epigastric area, a meteorism, a lock, diarrhea. In certain cases, especially at frequent and prolonged use of drug, erosive cankers of digestive organs with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding (a tar-like chair) are possible. The headache, a depression and drowsiness are sometimes possible; hamaturia, proteinuria, nephrotic syndrome, acute renal failure. Isolated cases of disturbance of system of a rovetvoreniye - thrombocytopenia, anemia (owing to the concealed hemorrhages from bodies of digestive tract). Allergic reactions (especially at the patients having bronchial asthma) - skin rash, a bronchospasm, an erythema, an itch. In case of such phenomena or other unusual reactions, consult to the doctor of rather further use of medicine.

Contraindications:

Peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum in a phase of an aggravation, a disease of a liver and kidneys, pregnancy (the 3rd trimester) and a lactation, hypersensitivity to drug and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the bronchial asthma, a small tortoiseshell, acute rhinitis and other allergic reactions connected with reception of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, disturbances of a hemopoiesis of not clear genesis, children under 6 years.
