Ichthyolum, ointment of 10%

General characteristics. Structure:

1 g of ointment contains - active ingredient: 0,1 g of Ichthyolum; excipients: poly(ethylene oxide) 400, poly(ethylene oxide) 1500.

Pharmacological properties:

Ointment possesses local anesthetic, antiinflammatory and certain antiseptic action.

Indications to use:

Unguentum Ichthyoli is appointed at treatment of burns, eczemas, an erysipelatous inflammation, neuralgia, arthritises.

Route of administration and doses:

Unguentum Ichthyoli is applied outwardly, apply on the struck surface (opened or closed [under a bandage] a way). The number of applications in day, duration of use are caused by the nature of a disease and efficiency of drug.

Side effects:

At hypersensitivity to Ichthyolum allergic reactions of local or generalized character can develop.

Contraindications:

The increased individual sensitivity to Ichthyolum.
