General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: ascorbic acid of 0,133 g (for a dosage of 200 mg) or 0,2 g (for a dosage of 300 mg); sodium of an ascorbate of 99% of TG-of 0,0754 g (for a dosage of 200 mg) or 0,1125 g (for a dosage of 300 mg) (in terms of ascorbic acid – 0,067 g or 0,1 g according to). Excipients: sucrose (sugar), dextrose (glucose), stearic acid, potato starch, fragrance.

Pharmacological properties:

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) belongs to vitamins, irreplaceable for the person, and is not synthesized in a human body, and arrives only with food. Ascorbic acid plays an important role in regulation of oxidation-reduction processes, biosynthesis of proteins, carbohydrates, hormones, regulation of coagulability of blood, an angenesis, strengthens walls of vessels, increases resistance of an organism to infections and stresses. Forming complexes with iron, ascorbic acid improves its absorption. Smoking and the use of ethanol accelerates destruction of ascorbic acid, sharply reducing stocks in an organism.

Indications to use:

Treatment hypo - and Page avitaminosis. The states which are followed by the increased need of an organism for vitamin C (the raised exercise and intellectual stresses, the recovery period after the postponed diseases, overfatigue, stressful states, smoking, advanced age). Also it is applied as a part of complex therapy of hemorrhagic diathesis and bleedings, vyalozazhivayushchy wounds and changes.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is accepted after food. Tablets need to be chewed and washed down with a small amount of water. In the medical purposes at the expressed avitaminosis and the long course of infectious diseases the adult appoint on  1 tablet 3 times a day for a dosage 200 mg or on 1 tablet 2 times a day for a dosage of 300 mg. The maximum daily dose – to 1 g a day (depending on a state). Duration of reception depends on the nature of a disease.

Features of use:

In connection with a promoting effect of ascorbic acid on formation of glucocorticosteroid hormones it is necessary to monitor function of adrenal glands and arterial pressure. At prolonged use of high doses oppression of function of the insulyarny device of a pancreas therefore in the course of treatment it is necessary to control functional capacity of a pancreas regularly is possible. Persons with deficit glyukozo-6-fosfatdegidrogenazy should use drug with care. At patients with the increased content of iron in an organism it is necessary to apply ascorbic acid in the minimum doses.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions to drug components are possible: skin rash, dermahemia. At prolonged use from the alimentary system: at intake – irritation of a mucous membrane of a GIT. Intensive consumption of tablets (chewing) can cause damage of an adamantine substance of tooth.

Interaction with other medicines:

Ascorbic acid reduces efficiency of heparin and indirect anticoagulants, increases concentration in blood of benzylpenicillin and tetracyclines; in a dose of 1 g/days increases bioavailability of ethinylestradiol (including being a part of oral contraceptives). Improves absorption in intestines of iron preparations (transfers trivalent iron to bivalent).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. It is not necessary to appoint high doses the patient with the increased coagulability of blood, thrombophlebitises and tendency to fibrinferments, and also at the diabetes mellitus and states which are followed by the increased content of sugar in blood.

Overdose:

Symptoms: at prolonged use of high doses (more than 1 g a day) - a headache, increase in excitability TsNS, sleeplessness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hyperacid gastritis, an ultseration of a mucous membrane of a GIT, oppression of function of the insulyarny device of a pancreas (a hyperglycemia, a glucosuria), a hyperoxaluria, a nephrolithiasis (from oxalate calcium); damage of the glomerular device of kidneys, a moderate pollakiuria (at reception of a dose more than 600 mg/days). Decrease in permeability of capillaries (deterioration in a trophicity of fabrics, increase in the ABP, hypercoagulation, development of mikroangiopatiya is possible). Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 10 °C to 25 °C. To store with the place, unavailable to children.
