Valerian extract

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: extract of a valerian of dense 20 m.

Excipients: (magnesium carbonate the main; potato starch; talc; edible gelatin; the sugar refined; titanium dioxide; beeswax; paraffin; sunflower oil; quinolinic yellow; aerosil) — enough before receiving a tablet weighing 0,18 g

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological action - sedative, spasmolytic.

Pharmacodynamics. An effective agent of drug is ester of baras camphor and isovaleric acid. Renders moderately expressed sedation which comes slowly, but it is rather stable. Besides, drug has spasmolytic effect on smooth muscles of a GIT.

Indications to use:

The increased nervous irritability; sleeplessness; functional frustration of cardiovascular system; GIT spasms.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, after food, according to 1–2 tab. 3 times a day.

Features of use:

At prolonged use in high doses reduction of speed and the accuracy of psychomotor reactions is possible that should be considered at control of vehicles, work with mechanisms, etc.

Side effects:

Slackness, weakness (especially at use in high doses), at prolonged use — a lock. Development of allergic reactions is in some cases possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Strengthens effect of hypnotic drugs and sedatives, and also spasmolysants.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Storage conditions:

In the dry place, at a temperature not above 15 °C.

In a blister strip packaging of 10 or 25 pieces; in a pack of cardboard 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 packagings; or in banks of dark glass or bottles on 50 pieces; in a pack of cardboard 1 bank or a bottle.
