Glyutaminovy acid

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: one tablet contains acids glyutaminovy 0,25g.

Pharmacological properties:

Normalizes exchange processes, stimulates oxidizing processes, promotes ammonia neutralization, participates in power ensuring functions of a brain.

Indications to use:

Diseases of the central nervous system: epilepsy (preferential small attacks with equivalents), psychoses (somatogenic, intoksikatsionny, involutional), the reactive states which are followed by a depression, exhaustion, other mental and nervous diseases.

In pediatrics drug is used at a delay of mental development of various etiology, cerebral paralyzes, a Down syndrome, poliomyelitis in the acute and recovery period.

Also positive takes at use of glyutaminovy acid are noted (in combination with Pachycarpinum or glycine) at patients with the progressing myopathy.

It is also recommended to appoint glyutaminovy acid for the prevention and removal of the neurotoxic phenomena which can arise at use of an isoniazid and other drugs of group of hydrazide, isonicotinic acid.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside.

• In 15-30 minutes prior to food.
• On 1 g 2-3 times a day.

To children 2-3 times a day depending on age:

• till 1 year on 0,1g on reception;
• from 1 year to 3 years on 0,15g on reception;
• from 3 to 4 years on 0,25g on reception;
• from 5 to 6 years on 0,4g on reception;
• from 7 to 9 years on 0,5-1g on reception;
• of 10 years is also more senior on 1 g on reception.

At an oligophrenia appoint on 0,1-0,2ú/kg within several months. Course of treatment from 1-2 to 6-12 months.

Features of use:

At development of the dispeptic phenomena drug is accepted in time or after food. To children of younger age glyutaminovy acid is appointed in the form of the suspension prepared from granules.

Side effects:

Vomiting, liquid chair, excitement of the central nevny system, reduction of a hemoglobin content, leukopenia.

Interaction with other medicines:

In a combination with thiamin and a pyridoxine drug is used for the prevention and treatment of the neurotoxic phenomena caused by drugs of group of hydrazide of isonicotinic acid (an isoniazid, Ftivazidum, etc.).

At a myopathy and muscular dystrophy drug is more effective in combination with Pachycarpinum and glycine.

Contraindications:

Feverish conditions, diseases of a liver, kidneys, digestive tract, disease of the hemopoietic bodies, hyperexcitability, violently proceeding psychotic reactions.

Overdose:

Symptoms: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting.

Treatment: first aid consists in a gastric lavage, reception of absorbent carbon. If necessary — symptomatic therapy.
