Propolis tincture

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: propolis - 100 g.

Excipients: Ethanol (alcohol) of 80% - enough before receiving 1000 ml of drug.

Note. Ethanol (alcohol) of 80% prepare 95% and 205 g of the water purified from 795 g of ethanol (alcohol). 

Pharmacological properties:

Has antiinflammatory and wound healing effect.

Indications to use:

Microtraumas and superficial damages of integuments and mucous membranes, otitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, diseases of a parodont.

Route of administration and doses:

It is outwardly, locally, inhalation. Sites with superficial damages of integuments (microtraumas) process the tampon moistened with propolis tincture, 1-3 times a day.

At chronic purulent otitises after careful cleaning of pus in an ear enter the tampon impregnated with propolis tincture for 1-2 minutes 2-3 times a day or on 1-2 drops into an ear 3-4 times a day.

At chronic pharyngitis and tonsillitis with tincture of propolis 1-2 times a day within 8-15 days grease almonds. Besides, at an adenoid disease aqueous solution of tincture of propolis in the ratio 1:20 is used for inhalations. A course of treatment 1-2 inhalations a day within 7-10 days.

At diseases of a parodont tincture of propolis is entered on turundas into parodontalny pockets for 5 minutes after a deep curettage.

At injuries of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity aqueous solution of tincture of propolis (15 ml on ½ glasses of warm water) is applied to rinsings of 4-5 times a day within 3-4 days.

Features of use:

At development of allergic reactions use of drug should be stopped.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (itch, erubescences, rash), short-term burning sensation in a drug site of application are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not described.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to components of drug and products of beekeeping, pollinoses, acute eczema, children's age up to 18 years.

Overdose:

It is not described.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light at a temperature from 15 to 25 °C.

To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Tincture. On 25, 50, 100 ml in the bottles from orange glass with a screw mouth corked by traffic jams the polyethylene and screwed plastic covers or aluminum covers, or caps aluminum. 

On 25, 50 ml in the bottles droppers from orange glass corked by traffic jams droppers and the screwed covers.

Each bottle, bottle dropper together with the application instruction place in a pack from a cardboard.
