Виферон®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 40 000 ME of interferon alfa-2 human recombinant.

Excipients: tocopherol acetate, lanolin anhydrous, vaseline medical, oil peach, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Immunomodulatory and antiviral drug. Interferon human recombinant an alpha – 2 has the expressed antiviral, anti-proliferative and immunomodulatory properties. In the presence of the excipients which are a part of drug (acetate tocopherol antioxidant) specific antiviral activity of interferon human recombinant an alpha – 2 increases, its immunomodulatory action amplifies (stimulation of phagocytal function of neutrophils in the defeat centers).

Pharmacokinetics. At external and topical administration system absorption of interferon low.

Indications to use:

For treatment of herpes infections (Herpes simplex 1 and 2 of type) of skin and mucous membranes of various localization.

As a part of complex therapy of flu and other SARS at children aged from 1 year.

Route of administration and doses:

At a herpes infection.

Features of use:

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. As at external and topical administration system absorption of interferon low and drug has effect only in the defeat center, drug VIFERON use, ointment during pregnancy and feeding by a breast is possible.

Side effects:

In most cases drug VIFERON, ointment for external and topical administration is transferred well. When drawing on a mucous membrane of a nose side effects (a rhinorrhea, sneezing, burning of a mucous membrane of a nose) have weak and passing character and independently disappear after drug withdrawal.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug VIFERON, ointment for external and topical administration, we will combine and it is well combined with all medicines used at treatment of a SARS including flu, virus (herpetic) damages of skin and mucous membranes.

Contraindications:

- Individual intolerance of components of drug.
- Children's age till 1 year.

Storage conditions:

Transportation and storage according to the joint venture 3.3.2.1248 – 03 at a temperature from 2 °C to 8 °C, in the place protected from light. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 1 year. Not to use drug after a period of validity. The opened aluminum tuba is stored in the refrigerator 1 month. To store the opened polystyrene can in the refrigerator no more than 14 days.
