The objective method of a research allowing to define a condition of a tympanic membrane, a tympanic cavity, to reveal perforation, passability of an Eustachian tube, mobility of a chain of acoustical stones, availability of liquid in a drum cavity.

Indications: An otosclerosis, chronic diseases of an ear, exudative otitises, salpingootita, adhesive otitises, an acoustic neurinoma at early stages of development, noise in an ear, feeling of a congestion of ears, feeling of pressure in an ear, decrease in hearing.

Impedansometriya (impedance audiometriya) - the objective method of audiological inspection allowing to carry out differential diagnosis of pathology of an acoustic organ at adults and children of various age groups since the earliest age.

Impedansometriya at children is carried out both during wakefulness, and during a natural dream. The main thing that the child did not cry and did not remove earphones.

Impedansometriya includes the tympanometry (time of carrying out 5-10 minutes) and registration of an acoustic reflex (time of carrying out 10-15 minutes).

It is important to note that registration acoustic ipsi-and a contralateral reflex is carried out at frequencies of 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz that is extremely important for assessment of perception of the speech at children of early age.

To give a quantitative assessment to degree of dysfunction of acoustical pipes at different types of pathology of a middle ear. To estimate efficiency of treatment at inflammatory diseases of a middle ear. It is important to note that at children by means of this method it is possible to register the recovery moment that is a necessary condition of the prevention of recurrent forms of pathology of a middle ear. Impedansometriya in a complex with other methods of audiological inspection allows to reveal children with relative deafness and deafness at early stages of development of the child. Now, when the percent of slow atypical subacute forms of pathology of a middle ear at children increases, the given audiological method is necessary in daily practice of the ENT specialist.
