Chondroitin ointment

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: ointment of light yellow color with a characteristic smell.
Structure: 1 g of ointment contains sodium of a hondroitinsulfat 0.05 g.
Excipients: a dimethyl sulfoxide, lanolin anhydrous, the corn oil refined vaseline, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacokinetics. Drug shows the hondrostimuliruyushchy, regenerating, antiinflammatory actions. Active ingredient is sodium хондроитинсульфат which is received from cartilaginous tissue of a trachea of a big cattle. Drug influences phosphatic and calcium exchange of cartilaginous tissue, slows down a resorption of a bone tissue, reduces calcium loss, accelerates recovery of a bone tissue, slows down process of a degeneration of cartilaginous tissue. Stimulates recovery of a joint cartilage, reduces pain and an inflammation in joints, normalizes products of joint liquid.

Pharmacodynamics. It is not studied.

Indications to use:

Degenerative diseases of joints and backbone: osteoporosis, osteochondrosis, arthroses.

Route of administration and doses:

The adult to apply ointment a thin layer on an affected area and to rub carefully in skin within 2–3 minutes. The procedure is repeated by 2–3 times a day. The course of treatment depends on weight and course of a disease, and also on the nature of the accompanying therapy — on average 2–3 weeks. If necessary the course is repeated.

Features of use:

With care to apply during pregnancy and feeding by a breast, at thrombophlebitis.
For the prevention of emergence of side effects it is necessary to apply previously a small amount of ointment on skin for definition of individual sensitivity. Not to apply on skin with manifestations of allergic reaction.

Side effects:

At prolonged use symptoms of allergic reaction are sometimes possible: reddening, itch, cutaneous dropsy. At emergence of the specified reactions use of drug is stopped and wash away its remains from skin.

Interaction with other medicines:

 It is not known.

Contraindications:

Acute inflammatory diseases in the field of drawing. Hypersensitivity to drug components that can promote developing of an itch, hypostasis or fever.

Overdose:

 It is not known.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 2-20 °C in protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity — 3 years.
