General characteristics. Structure:

Pharmacological properties:

Medicine of laxative action. Easy irritant action of glycerin on a mucous membrane of a rectum stimulates the act of defecation, promotes a softening of fecal masses, causing bowel emptying.

Indications to use:

Locks of various etiology: functional (usual), psychogenic, senile, locks at slow-moving patients, and also the locks connected with decrease in sensitivity of the receptor device of a rectum.

Route of administration and doses:

Previously having exempted a candle from planimetric packaging, enter it deeply into an anus after a cleansing enema or spontaneous release of intestines, on one candle a day, it is desirable in 15-20 minutes after a breakfast.

Side effects:

At prolonged use at some patients of a candle with glycerin can cause unpleasant feelings in a rectum with the subsequent possible emergence of a catarral proctitis. In these cases it is recommended to enter into an anus in the form of an enema warm oil (in number of 1 tablespoon) and to temporarily stop drug use.

Contraindications:

Acute anal fissures, hemorrhoids in aggravation stages, an inflammation of a mucous membrane of a rectum, a rectum tumor.
