КромоГЕКСАЛ – antiallergic medicine.

Form of release and structure

• The nasal spray dosed (on 15 ml (85 doses) or 30 ml (170 doses) in plastic bottles with the portioning device, in a pack a cardboard 1 bottle);
• Eye drops of 2% (on 10 ml in polyethylene bottles droppers, in a pack a cardboard 1 bottle);
• Solution for inhalations (on 2 ml in polyethylene ampoules, on 10 ampoules in a tape, in a pack of cardboard 5 or 10 tapes).

All forms of production of drug represent solution: transparent, colourless or slightly yellowish, without mechanical inclusions.

Active ingredient of KROMOGEKSALA – кромогликат sodium, contents:

• 1 dose of spray nasal – 2,8 mg;
• 1 ml of drops eye – 20 mg;
• 1 ampoule of solution inhalation – 20 mg.

Auxiliary components of spray and drops: dihydrophosphate sodium a dihydrate, a benzalkoniya chloride, sorbitol liquid uncrystallized, sodium chloride, hydrophosphate dinatrium dodecahydrate, dinatrium эдетат, water for injections. Drops contain sodium hydroxide.

Auxiliary component of solution for inhalations: the water purified.

Indications to use

For spray – treatment and prevention:

• Allergic rhinitis (including year-round and seasonal);
• Pollinosis.

For drops – treatment and prevention:

• Keratoconjunctivitis;
• Allergic keratitis;
• Allergic conjunctivitis;
• Irritation of a mucous membrane of eyes owing to influence of the irritating factors, such as plants, domestic animals, cosmetics or household chemicals, ophthalmologic drugs, environment factors.

For solution – preventive treatment of asthmatic complaints:

• The endogenous forms of asthma caused by an infection, a stress or an exercise stress;
• Bronchial asthma, including allergic nature.

Contraindications

Regardless of a form of release of KROMOGEKSAL it is impossible to apply in case of hypersensitivity to drug components.

Spray is contraindicated to pregnant women and the nursing women.

To children of KROMOGEKSAL it is contraindicated in the form of spray – up to 5 years, in the form of drops and solution – up to 2 years.

With care of KROMOGEKSAL appoint in the following cases:

• Spray: polyps in a nasal cavity, a renal/liver failure;
• Drops: children's age up to 4 years, pregnancy, the lactation period.

Route of administration and dosage

Spray of KROMOGEKSAL is applied intranazalno.

To adults and children 5 years are more senior appoint on 1 dose (there correspond 2,8 mg of a kromoglikat of sodium) in each nasal course 4 times a day. If necessary frequency rate of use is increased to 6 times a day. After achievement of necessary therapeutic effect the frequency of administration of drug is reduced and applied only in case of contact with allergens (pollen, house dust, disputes of mushrooms, etc.).

The course of treatment drug in the form of solution for inhalations lasts not less than 4 weeks. Cancel drug gradually, reducing frequency rate of use within 1 week.

Way of use of spray: to remove a protective cap from a bottle, to enter the sprayer into a nostril and to press strongly the raspylitelny mechanism. Before the first use to make several sprayings in air, liquid droplets will not appear yet.

Eye drops of KROMOGEKSAL to adults and children are more senior than 2 years appoint 1-2 drops in a conjunctival sac of an eye 4 times a day (with an interval of 4-6 hours). If necessary frequency rate of instillations is increased to 6-8 times a day. After achievement of therapeutic effect the frequency of instillations is reduced and use drug only at contact with allergens.

If the doctor did not appoint other scheme of treatment, it is necessary to inhalate solution for inhalations of KROMOGEKSAL 4 times a day on 1 bottle at regular intervals. If necessary the single dose is doubled, and frequency rate of use – up to 6 times a day. After achievement of therapeutic effect use drug as required.

The course of treatment lasts not less than 4 weeks. It is necessary to reduce a dose gradually, within 1 week.

To open a one-time bottle with solution for inhalations, it is necessary to break off its upper marked part. Inhalate KROMOGEKSAL by means of special inhalers, for example, of ultrasonic.

Side effects

At use of spray of KROMOGEKSAL the following side effects are possible:

• Respiratory system: burning or irritation of a mucous membrane of a nasal cavity, rhinorrhea, frequent sneezing, cough; seldom – nasal bleedings;
• Allergic reactions: an itch, rash, urticaria, the complicated swallowing and/or breath, puffiness of the person, a century or lips;
• Others: headache, unpleasant flavoring feelings.

At treatment by eye drops of KROMOGEKSAL disturbances from an organ of sight are possible, such as burning and feeling of a foreign body in an eye, dacryagogue, a meibomitis, a chemosis, disturbance of clearness of visual perception, a xerophthalmus, and also superficial defeat of an epithelium of a cornea.

When using inhalation solution of KROMOGEKSAL in rare instances there is cough, slight irritation of a throat and trachea that sometimes leads to a reflex spasm of bronchial tubes. Are also possible: skin rash, inflammation of skin and digestive tract. These phenomena are, as a rule, expressed slightly, short-term and pass independently after drug withdrawal.

Special instructions

Eye drops of KROMOGEKSAL reduce the need for the ophthalmologic drugs containing glucocorticoids.

During treatment it is not necessary to carry soft contact lenses (because of a chloride benzalkoniya as a part of drug), and rigid it is recommended to remove in 15 minutes prior to an instillation and to dress not earlier than 15 minutes later.

During an instillation it is necessary to be careful not to touch with a pipette tip an eye or other surfaces.

During use of eye drops extra care at control of motor transport and performance of potentially dangerous types of the works demanding concentration of attention and speed of reactions is necessary.

Inhalation solution of KROMOGEKSAL is not intended for stopping of bad asthmatic attacks.

In case of prolonged treatment it is necessary to control a condition of kidneys and a liver.

If at spray use burning or irritation of a mucous membrane of a nose does not take place or amplifies, drug should be cancelled.

Medicinal interaction

Kromoglitsiyevy acid can strengthen action _{H1-gistaminoblokatorov}.

Solution of KROMOGEKSAL should not be inhalated along with Ambroxol or Bromhexine.

Terms and storage conditions

To store in the unavailable to children, protected from light place at a temperature up to 25 ºС.

Period of validity – 3 years. Drops and spray after opening of a bottle can be applied within 6 weeks. Bottles with inhalation solution are intended for disposable.
