Origins

Exact origins of nonspecific ulcer colitis are not established now. Complications

As well as any other disease, nonspecific ulcer colitis can lead to development of various complications:

  • Toxic megacolon. At it there is a considerable expansion of a gleam of a cross colon. This complication arises in 5% of cases and quite often leads to a lethal outcome;
  • Perforation of ulcers of a large intestine. It is observed at 3 – 4% of patients and in 70 – 100% of cases leads to their death;
  • Strictures thick or a rectum - narrowing of a gleam of intestines on its certain site that breaks a passage of fecal masses and can become the reason of intestinal impassability;
  • Intestinal bleeding. This complication is observed in 6% of cases;

  • Colon cancer. The patients having nonspecific ulcer colitis more than 10 years have the increased risk of development of malignant new growths of a large intestine. At the same time every year existence of this disease are increased by this risk by 2%.

  • Infusional therapy – is carried out for the purpose of correction of disturbances of water and electrolytic balance and a detoxication;
  • Vitamin therapy;

  • Sedative drugs;
  • Antidiarrheal therapy;
  • Sulfasalazinum;
  • Cytostatics;

Surgical treatment of nonspecific ulcer colitis is carried out at development of complications of a disease (massive bleeding, perforation of intestines, cancer, intestinal impassability, etc.).

Nonspecific ulcer colitis: diet

In the period of an exacerbation of a disease it is necessary to adhere to the most sparing diet. After subsiding of acute manifestations, such as abdominal pains, ponosa, the patient it can be transferred to less rigid diet in which it is authorized to include not wiped dishes.

It is very important that all dishes were not only are tasty, but also are various. The steamed or boiled low-fat meat, the wiped porridges, eggs, biscuit, the dried white loaf, dogrose broth, some juice (tomato, orange), ripe berries and fruit compotes are recommended to patients. At nonspecific ulcer colitis surely include walnuts in a diet. And here fried, salty, fat or hot dishes, bean, it is necessary to exclude chocolate, crude vegetables and fruit, mushrooms, beet, dried apricots, a kiwi, plums completely.

The diet at nonspecific ulcer colitis provides the use of food in the small portions through rather short intervals of time (fractional food). It is connected with the fact that the large volume of food will not be fully digested and acquired, and in addition can provoke strengthening of a diarrhea.

Nonspecific ulcer colitis: national treatment

In many cases doctors recommend to the patients not only medicamentous, but also national treatment of nonspecific ulcer colitis. In therapy of this disease microclysters with oil of a sea-buckthorn or a dogrose are rather effective. In addition it is possible to use inside broth of a burnet medicinal. It is accepted on one tablespoon by five times a day before meal. Course of treatment not less than a month.

However national treatment of nonspecific ulcer colitis should not substitute for itself traditional medicamentous therapy completely at all.
