Adjuvant

Adjuvant (Latin adjuvans, adjuvantis – promoting, helping):

  1. Substance which raises an antigen immunogenicity. Some adjuvants are used at production of vaccines (hydrate of an oxide of aluminum, etc.);
  2. The substance prolonging or strengthening effect of medicines.
