Aphasia

Aphasia (Greek aphasia – dumbness, loss of the speech; and - – otritsa. phasis – the speech is frequent +; synonym: aphrasia устар.) – the disturbances of the speech which are characterized by partial or full loss of ability to understand someone else's speech or to use words and phrases for expression of the thoughts; it is caused by defeats of bark of a dominant cerebral hemisphere in the absence of disorders of hearing and the articulation device.
