Aortal opening [hiatus aorticus – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel), JNA (The anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya)] – the interval in a lumbar part of a diaphragm located between her medial legs and the front surface of a backbone. Through an aortal opening there passes the chest channel and an aorta.
