Barbituric acid

Barbituric acid (acidum barbituricum; Xing: malonyl urea) – derivative a pyrimidine; it is used, for example, at synthesis of Riboflavinum and/or other biologically active agents; some of derivative B. to. have narcotic, sedative, somnolent and anticonvulsant effect and are applied as medicines.
