Baroreceptors (Greek barys – weight, pressure + lat. receptor – accepting; Xing: barotseptor, pressoreceptors, receptors pressor) – the interoretseptor catching the mechanical stretching of a wall of hollow body (a vessel, a gut, etc.) caused by pressure of its contents.
