Benedikta test

Benedikta test (S. R. Benedict, amer. biochemist, 1884-1936):

  1. The way of identification in glucose urine which is based on its property to recover a copper oxide in the alkaline environment, with emergence of a yellow, red or chartreuse deposit;
  2. The way of identification in blood of uric acid which is based on its ability at recovery of a phosphatotungstic reactant to form connection of blue color.
