Byulau drainage

Byulau drainage (outdated; G. Bulau, German doctor, 1835-1900; the French drainage, from the English drain – to drain) – a method of removal of air and liquid from a pleural cavity by means of the tubular drainage inserted by means of a puncture by a trocar of a chest wall and functioning by the principle of communicating vessels.
